Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas has again shunned an invitation from the House of Representatives.
It could be recalled that an Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight was set up by the House leadership following the state of emergency declared by President Bola Tinubu.
Ibas was earlier invited on Thursday, April 17, 2025, but he shunned the invitation.
The meeting was then rescheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2025.
It was, however, confirmed that Ibas didn't attend the meeting.
When approached by journalists, Ihonvbere said, “No comment.”
The meeting between the Ad-Hoc Committee and Vice Admiral Ibas has been postponed indefinitely.
There have been pockets of protests in Rivers since Governor Siminalayi Fubara was suspended.
