A delegation of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) on Friday visited the family of the late Super Eagles Coach, Christian Chukwu in Enugu.

The team were on a condolence visit over the demise of the late soccer legend.

Recall that the former Super Eagles captain died last month after a protracted illness.

Leader of the delegation and first vice president, Felix Anyansi Agwu said they were sent by the president of NFF, Ibrahim Musa Gusua to come and commiserate with the family of the football legend.

He said the NFF boss also urged them to find out the level of preparation for the funeral of the former Kenyan National Coach.

Our correspondent reports that the delegation comprised of the chairman of Nigerian National League (NNL) George Alua, Chairman of Enugu State Football Association, Barrister Tony Ugwu, his Anambra State Counterpart, Chikelue Iloaenyosi and that of Imo State, Ifeanyi Dike.

Agwu, who prayed God to grant the soul of Chukwu eternal rest, said the visit was aimed at finding out where NFF will participate in the funeral, urging the widow to take heart as the husband lived a fulfilled life.

Responding on behalf of the family, the first son of Chukwu appreciated the delegation and promised to keep them abreast of the burial programme.

Meanwhile, NFF has remained mute the allegations that it owed Chukwu $128,000 in unpaid wages from his time as Super Eagles head coach between 2002 and 2005.

Chukwu continued to cry out over the unpaid wage until he passed on.
