The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has again lost three of its members to the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
NATIONAL POST reports that the three defectors are from Katsina State.
This was announced during plenary at the National Assembly in Abuja and was read out by the Speaker of the House, Rep Tajudeen Abbas, who presided over the session.
According to the former PDP members, the lingering internal crisis and unresolved issues within the PDP are the major reasons behind their decision to leave the party.
The defecting members further stated that the instability within the PDP has made it difficult to effectively serve their constituents and align with progressive governance.
Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, in a show of solidarity and support, was said to be present in the chamber to witness the lawmakers’ formal declaration.
