The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), said on Friday that 80 individuals are being probed for exam-related offences.
This was disclosed by Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB's Registrar during the official release of the 2025 UTME results at JAMB headquarters, Bwari.
According to him, Anambra State has the highest number of suspects.
Oloyede announced that “statistics from the 2025 UTME indicate a significant reduction in cases of examination infractions.
“A total of 96 results have been withheld on account of examination infractions, a decrease from 123 the previous year, while further results remain under investigation.
“The Board remains resolute in its commitment to eliminating any form of examination malpractice.
“80 suspects are being interrogated by the police for their involvement in the examination malpractices and most of them would be prosecuted.
The distribution is shown as follows:
Anambra (14), Lagos (9), Delta (8), Kano (7), Kaduna (6), Rivers (6), Ebonyi (5), Enugu (5), Imo (3), Ondo (3), among others.
