A Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Binta Nyako has fixed 27 June to deliver judgment in a suit instituted against the National Assembly by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan challenging her suspension.
It could be recalled that following the recommendations by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition, the female Senator was suspended over alleged gross misconduct.
She then proceeded to court against the Clerk of the National Assembly, the Senate, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, Senator Nedamwen Imasuen.
On Tuesday, the court heard both parties, after which it fixed June 27 for judgment in the matter.
On the same day, the court will also deliver judgement on contempt charges against the parties.
