There was a peaceful march in Enugu State on Tuesday, as part of concern over the controversies following this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME), result.

NATIONAL POST reports that the protest, led by Prof Joy Ezeilo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN), was organised by the Women's Aid Collective (WACOL) in collaboration with Southeast Human Rights Civil Society Situation Room, Southeast Women's Network (SEWNET), and 50/50 Action Women Group.

Ever since the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), released the results, there has been disquiet across the country.

Registrar of JAMB, Prof Olarenwaju Oloyode later admitted that technical glitch affected the outcome of the exercise in the entire South-East and Lagos State.

But there are fresh concerns over the hurried manner JAMB organised the rescheduled examination for the affected candidates.

At the Enugu JAMB office, the protesters raised similar issues.
