President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, responded to concerns about Nigeria turning into a one party state.
With the massive defections into the All Progressives Congress, APC, many Nigerians are worried that the country could slide into a one party state and thereby throw up dictatorship.
But speaking after receiving series of endorsements, the President said he expects more politicians to join the APC.
The event was the ruling party's national summit in Abuja.
"I just need to tell those who say a one-party system is no good: you don't blame a people bailing out of a sinking ship when they have no life jackets.
"I'm glad for what we have, and I'm expecting more to come. That is the game. Welcome to progress; sweep them clean," President Tinubu declared.
