Education technology expert and the Chief Executive Officer of Educare, Alex Onyia, has provided an update on the resit examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB).
Onyia led the campaign that made JAMB registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede admit that technical glitch affected the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME) in the five South-East states and Lagos.
He was also part of the team that reviewed the results, after which JAMB announced a resit for 379,997 candidates across 157 centres.
In an update he provided vix his X account on Thursday afternoon, Onyia said the result of the resit examination could be released today.
He also expressed joy on the possible outcome of the results being awaited, hinting that a good percentage of the candidates scored above 200.
He tweeted: “Between 66 - 72% of the candidates who participated in the JAMB resit scored above.
“Joy at last! Is God not awesome?”
Then in his latest tweet, Onyia wrote, “The team are conducting psychometric analysis and normalization. It’s a compulsory practice by JAMB.
“Once this is completed JAMB result will be released to everyone.
“Hopefully, results will still be released today!”
