Senator Ali Ndume representing Borno State has given a breakdown of how he will utilize the N2 billion earmarked as constituency fund for every Senator.
He gave the indication during an interview with Vanguard.
There has been controversy over the 2025 budget, with BudgIt recently accusing the National Assembly of padding the appropriation bill With N6.9trn Projects, an allegation that has been denied by the NASS leadership.
When asked how he will spend the N2 billion allocated to him under constituency projects, Ndume said: “I do rural roads. Out of my N2 billion, N500 million is going for the construction of rural roads from Purka to Ngoshe in Goza local government.
“N1 billion is going for the construction of blocks of classroom in the nine local governments in Borno South.
“N500 million is going for the construction of houses for displaced persons in Biu and Goza local governments.”
