The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, is in deep sorrow over the demise of Evangelist Azzaman Azzaman.
It could be recalled Evangelist Azzaman, also known as Rev. David Ayuba Azzaman, died on Sunday in a fatal motor accident along the Idon axis of Kachia local government of Kaduna State.
His death came barely five months after he told his congregation about a prophecy that certain people want to kill him through a motor accident.
Reacting to his passing, CAN described it as a significant loss to the Christian community in Kaduna State and beyond.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of Northern CAN, Rev. Dr. Joseph John Hayab, the association said the fiery preacher was a courageous voice for the gospel and an unrelenting advocate for the rights of persecuted Christians.
“Kaduna has truly lost a great soldier of Christ. Evangelist Azzaman stood tall in defence of Christianity, fearlessly speaking out against injustice and persecution,” the statement said.
CAN described Azzaman as a prophetic voice, a bridge-builder, and a spiritual father to many denominations and communities.
Until his death, he was the General Overseer of The King Worship Chapel and Ministries, leading a vibrant evangelical movement focused on truth, justice, and spiritual revival.
“Though his departure leaves a great vacuum in the Christian community, we rejoice in the assurance that he has finished his race and now rests in the eternal glory of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
“May his soul rest in peace and may his legacy continue to inspire courage and faith among believers,” CAN prayed.
