Two brothers were on Friday rescued from the roof top of a storey-building after they attempted to commit suicide.
Sources revealed that the duo had climbed up the roof in the early morning and threatened to jump down if they were not settled by their parents.
NATIONAL POST reports that the incident occurred at the Aku Road area of the University of Nigeria town.
Despite entreaties from residents, they refused to come down.
It was gathered that the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Engr Jude Asogwa, who was also alerted, swiftly arrived the scene and pleased with the two boys to come down.
"They climbed their father's house and demanded to be settled or they will not come down and even if they did without being settlement, they will burn down their father's house.
"Despite the chairman's pleas, they refused to come down.
"They rather started stabbing themselves with bottles," said a source.
According to Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, "After a while, they noticed blood stains on their bodies.
"It took the courageous ones to device a means and climb up only to notice that both of them are already weak and bleeding.
"One don already faint on top of the roof and the second person is weak and bleeding too.
"That's how they overpowered them and rescued both of them."
As of the time of filing this report, not much is known about their parents.
