The lone survivor of the tragic London-bound passenger plane that crashed Thursday in India’s western city of Ahmedabad, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, has narrated his shocking experience.
Ramesh, who miraculously survived the crash, said he walked through dead bodies.
It could be recalled that the London-bound Air India flight crashed just minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad on Thursday, attracting mourning and condolence from across the world.
260 passengers and crew members perished in the ill-fated aircraft.
Ramesh, a 40-year-old British citizen, who was returning to the UK after visiting his family in India, spoke from his hospital bed in Ahmedabad,
He said, “Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.
“When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me.
“Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital.”
His brother, Ajay Kumar Ramesh, 45, was one of those who died in the crash.
