Woman groans as thieves cart away 70 bags of rice in Umuahia shop

A 43-year-old businesswoman, Mrs Njideka Okoye is in tears after  thieves stole all the 70 bags of rice in her shop located at World Bank Housing Estate in Umuahia.

The victim just moved into the shop before the hoodlums struck and carted away all her means of livelihood. 

Mrs Okoye said that the incident happened a few days after she packed into the shop.

“I just resumed business here a few days ago, and was still trying to settle down.

“But they struck in the night and carted away everything. A total of 70 bags of rice were stolen from my shop,” she narrated in tears. 

The business woman appealed to the Abia State government and good spirited individuals to come to her aid.

"I don't know where to go from here; I'm begging the government and Nigerians to help me," she said.

She equally urged law enforcement agencies to arrest the perpetrators.
