Broadcast journalist, Onyebuchi Onokala has revealed that Al Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, was responsible for Victor Boniface's failed move to the Saudi Pro League.
Onokala, also known as Buchi Laba, said Ronaldo blocked Boniface’s move when it was put to him on the table.
The Nigerian broadcast journalist said Ronaldo is in charge of taking all major decisions in the club, including appointment of coaches and signing of players.
According to Buchi Laba, the club does not sign players except Ronaldo approves the transfer.
It could be recalled that Nassr were linked to Boniface and Jhon Duran, but in the end, it was the Colombian striker they signed.
Buchi Laba said the final decision, which did not favour Boniface was made Ronaldo.
He spoke amid reports that Duran is not presently happy at Nassr.
He wrote on X: "Let me give you small gist about Jhon Duran and why I’m surprised he’s unhappy at Al Nassr.
"Al Nassr negotiated for him and Victor Boniface and at the end they put both names on the table for Cristiano Ronaldo to pick one. Ronaldo selected Duran.
"There’s no signing that happens at Al Nassr without Ronaldo Approving. Even the Head Coach. He approves everything so why’s Duran unhappy after not even close to one year."
