Tragedy has hit the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Katsina State following the reported beheading of a ward chairman of the party.
The incident occurred in Guga, Bakori Local Government Area, Katsina State.
A conflict report journalist, Bakatsine, shared the news on his X handle.
According to him, the APC chairman was beheaded over accusations of aiding bandits.
Bakatsine, who didn't provide the names of the Ward chairman, simply wrote: "BREAKING: According to reports, APC Ward Chairman in Guga, Bakori LGA, Katsina State, has been beheaded over accusations of aiding bandits."
As of the time of filing this report, neither the APC nor the State Police Command has issued any statement on the reported incident.
Banditry has remained one of the thorny issues in the country, with several lives lost to the activities of bandits across the country.
