The unveiling of African Democratic Congress, ADC, as the official platform of the opposition coalition witnessed the presence of a former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
Apart from Oyegun, five other national figures, formerly of the APC stock, have also dumped the party for the ADC.
They have all vowed to be part of the movement aimed at stopping President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The aggrieved APC members, who are uncomfortable with the present administration joined forces with opposition figures on Wednesday ahead of the next election.
The six bigwigs include ministers who served under former president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
They include: Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation, Abubakar Malami former Minister of Justice, Hadi Sirika, former Minister of Aviation and Rauf Aregbesola, former Minister of Interior.
Also in the list is Kashim Imam, a businessman, and former board chairman of TETFUND.
