ADC: You'll never smell power again - Wike dares Amaechi, Atiku, others

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has challenged the leaders of the newly unveiled African Democratic Congress, ADC, to bury their hopes of returning to power.

According to Wike, most of them were given the opportunity by God to make Nigerians happy but they refused.

Wike spoke during the commissioning of the Newly Rehabilitated Aguma Palace-Radio Nigeria-New Market Road in the Gwagwalada area council of the FCT.

The project was commissioned by Vice President Kashim Shettima who represented President Bola Tinubu.

Wike had on several occasions hit out at some politicians for coming up against the government of President Bola Tinubu which he is a part of.

During a media chat in Abuja on Wednesday, the FCT Minister took on the leaders of the newly formed Coalition, such as Chibuike Amaechi,  David Mark, Aminu Tambuwal, among others.

According to Wike, those set of people had been in government for a long period of time but could do anything to help the ordinary people but were now saying they want to save the country.

Wike believes that the government of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, which he currently serves is doing enough, despite challenges,  to lift Nigerians out of the current economic realities.

He said that most of the people in the coalition lacked the moral right to form an alliance against a working government.

Speaking on Friday, he said, "God gave you the opportunity to make Nigerians happy according to you, you refused.

"Because you have left office, you are angry, you are saying Nigerians are angry.

“You are angry, you want to come back to power, you won't come back."

Wike had earlier declared that he would remain a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, but work for President Tinubu’s re-election.
