My son beheaded, blood licked in my presence - 80-year-old woman groans

An 80-year-old woman, Hajiya Habi Hamidan is lamenting the gruesome murder of his son during a clash between rival gangs in Kano State.

The clash, which occurred last weekend, involved rival gangs in Kurna Mayanka, Yan Yashi, and Tudun Fulani,

At least four persons paid the supreme price during the clash, including the octogenarian’s son, Usman Hamidan.

NATIONAL POST learnt that he was brutally murdered inside his own home.

Hamidan, who is battling paralysis, has been left shattered by the loss of her only son.

Narrating the horrible ordeal, he said the son was slaughtered right before her and his blood licked by the assailants.

“They broke into our house in the middle of the night while I was lying down sick in my room.

“I suddenly heard his screams in the courtyard as they were slaughtering him. When I looked, I saw four of them, they covered their faces with masks.

“I was crying, begging them not to kill my son, but they told me they were sent just to kill him and wouldn’t leave until they completed their mission,” she recounted tearfully to Daily Post.

The woman said she watched in agony and helplessly as the marauders beheaded her son, with his brain splashed on the floor of the room.

“The whole place looked like an abattoir, blood everywhere. They even licked the blood from their knives as I watched.

“He was my only son, the one who took care of me, fed me, and helped me since I became paralyzed. They killed him. Allah will judge them,” she said, weeping.

It was gathered that in recent times, several other people have been killed in a similar manner.

Victims are always executed right before their loved ones.

Concerned residents are blaming the incessant horrendous murder on the high rate of drug abuse.
