The Nigerian Government has said President Bola Tinubu will return to the country today, Saturday.
NATIONAL POST reports that this comes amid questions about the president's whereabouts after the BRICS summit.
Mr Paul Ibe, Media aide to former vice president, Atiku Abubakar had on his X, raised questions about Tinubu's whereabouts.
Many Nigerians flooded his comment section with posers and insinuations.
Ibe wrote: "Many concerned Nigerians are asking where President Bola Tinubu is since the conclusion of the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
"On Saturday, 28 June 2025, Tinubu commenced a two-nation visit to Saint Lucia and Brazil. The 17th BRICS Summit ended 3 days ago.
"There is no other engagement on his itinerary, according to the press statement preceding his trip, raising concerns about his whereabouts. However, mum is the word.
"Is it possible that the Nigerian President’s aircraft is passing through a zone where time is standing still?"
The presidency has now confirmed that Tinubu returns to Nigeria today.
This was disclosed by My Bayo Onanuga, a media aide to the president.
He simply wrote on X: "President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns to Abuja today after his two-nation visit to Saint Lucia and Brazil."
No further details were provided, except images of Tinubu's BRICS summit outing.
