2027: LP factional Chairman, Abure meets Wike behind closed doors

By

Embattled National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Julius Abure, on Sunday, paid a visit to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

This was confirmed by the media aide to the minister, Lere Olayinka, who posted images of the visit.

“National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, during his visit to the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja today,” Olayinka wrote.

Wike and his guest were said to have met behind closed doors, with the reason for the visit unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had vowed to work for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

President Tinubu is a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and his government has been accused by the opposition of trying to push the country into a one-party state.

Both the Labour Party and the PDP have been experiencing endless crises.

External forces are said to be fueling the crisis.
