Hours after the demise of former president Muhammadu Buhari, his nephew Mamman Daura has been confirmed to be down in health.
Daura, as disclosed by Vice President, Kashim Shettima, is receiving treatment in a London hospital.
Office of the Vice President disclosed this in a statement on Monday while providing information on his trip to London.
The statement by Shettima's spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha reads: “The Vice President also visited the late President’s nephew, Malam Mamman Daura, who is recuperating in a London hospital.
“Vice President Shettima is accompanied by Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Zulum; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; and Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia.”
It could be recalled that upon Buhari’s demise on Sunday, President Bola Tinubu sent Shettima to London to facilitate the return of the former president's corpse back to Nigeria.
