EEDC to hold 3-day complaint resolution exercise in Ebonyi

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has concluded plans to organize a 3-day "On-The-Spot Complaint Resolution Exercise" for its customers in Abakaliki and Afikpo districts of Ebonyi State.

The exercise is part of the company’s efforts to resolve its customers’ billing-related concerns.

This was made known by the Group Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, during a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki on Wednesday.

Ezeh said that the 3-day event will be held at three different locations from Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, to Thursday, 24th July 2025, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The exercise will provide an opportunity to address and resolve customer complaints on the spot, particularly those that are related to electricity bills.

He encouraged customers with issues regarding their electricity bills to take advantage of the opportunity to have them resolved.

According to him, "Day 1 of the exercise – Tuesday, 22nd July 2025 – will take off by 10 a.m., at EEDC Old Office (beside the Ebonyi State Ministry of Finance), Abakaliki.

"Day 2 of the exercise – Wednesday, 23rd July 2025 – will hold by 10 a.m., at the EEDC GRA Service Center (opposite Democracy Estate), Abakaliki, while Day 3 – Thursday, 24th July 2025 – will take place by 10 a.m., at the EEDC Afikpo Service Center, Amachi Road, Afikpo.

"Customers are required to come along with their recent electricity bills, receipts or proof of payments, and any other supporting documents or correspondence related to their complaints."

Ezeh stressed that the "On-The-Spot Complaint Resolution Exercise" is strictly focused on billing issues, and advised customers with other concerns to visit the Customer Service Units at the District Offices and Service Centers for appropriate action.
