Nigerian Government has fixed a special session of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, in honour of former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
This comes two days after Buhari was laid to rest in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State.
NATIONAL POST recalls that President Bola Tinubu and other personalities attended the state burial.
Upon the announcement of his death on Sunday, the government had earlier scheduled a special FEC session in his honour on Monday, July 14.
However, it was later cancelled to be rescheduled for another day.
Media Adviser to President Bola Tinubu, Mr Bayo Onanuga, has now announced that the FEC would hold tomorrow, Thursday.
Onanuga said this in a post on his X handle.
He wrote, “A special session of the Federal Executive Council in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari will be held on Thursday 17 July from 1pm.
"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will lead the session of tributes for the departed leader.”
