Charly Boy, aka the Area Father, has reacted to Yul Edochie's latest stand ahead of the 2027 general elections.
NATIONAL POST reports that Yul has been an ardent supporter of President Bola Tinubu.
He supported Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, and has remained a promoter of the Tinubu administration.
However, in a recent video, the actor has now said the South East should produce the next President.
In a viral video on X, the popular actor said, "The next president of Nigeria should come from the South East.
"In fairness and equity. That’s just the truth. That's how it's supposed to be."
In reaction, Charly Boy wrote on X, "Yul Edochie finally sees the light.
“Thank God you don dey change lane."
Peter Obi of the Labour Party is the only politician from the South-East who has so far declared interest to run for the presidency in 2027.
Obi, a member of the opposition coalition, is yet to join the African Democratic Congress.
However, he has submitted a single term proposal to the coalition.
