President Bola Tinubu's Senior Special Adviser on Print Media, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, has said it's not strange for the president or his friends to be talking with former New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Abdulaziz said there is nothing wrong with Tinubu's recent meeting with Kwankwaso.
He disclosed this during an interview on Channels Television's programme, The Morning Brief.
The presidential aide said Tinubu has a long standing relationship with Kwankwaso.
Abdulaziz disclosed that the duo have been senators and governors together.
According to Abdulaziz, the meeting between Tinubu and Kwankwaso is not a "sin."
He said: “So, the presidency or friends of the president talking to Kwankwaso or the other way round should not be seen as anything strange or looked at with disdain or any suspicion.
“There is nothing strange about Kwankwaso talking to the APC or the president or the president talking to him."
Last week Monday, the former Kano State governor had met with Tinubu in Aso Rock.
Their meeting has led to speculations that Tinubu was trying to woo Kwankwaso to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.
