The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has demanded tougher action against Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate over his unruly behaviour at the Abuja airport.
This comes few hours after a six-month flight ban was imposed on him.
NCAA has now petitioned the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, urging them to probe the musician.
NCAA spokesman Michael Achimugu said Ayinde’s attempt to block a moving ValueJet aircraft violated Nigeria’s civil aviation regulations.
In its letter to the AGF and the IGP, the NCAA called for a “comprehensive criminal investigation and the initiation of appropriate prosecution in accordance with the provisions of the Nigeria Civil Aviation regulations (Nig. CARs) 2023 supra and all other applicable laws”.
Similarly, Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo, in a statement he issued on Thursday condemned the unruly behaviour of the Fuji musician.
He said a requisite punishment must come against him.
NATIONAL POST recalls that K1 De Ultimate caused a scene at the Abuja Airport after he blocked a Valuejet aircraft which was taking off.
Two crew members of the aircraft have also been suspended for breaching aviation protocols.
