The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume, on Thursday raised the alarm that some criminal syndicates have cloned his voice.
Akume said that his voice was cloned in an attempt to swindle high profile individuals with promises of federal government appointments.
This was contained in a statement by his spokesman, Yomi Odunuga.
The statement said: “From information available to the office, the fraudsters cloned the voice of the SGF, using it to solicit money in return for federal appointments.”
Akume also disclosed that the mobile number of some high profile Nigerians had been cloned to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.
"They have also cloned the phone numbers of high profile individuals to solicit funds from unsuspecting members of the public," he further stated.
