The Federal Government has announced that it will appoint Fuji star, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 an ambassador for proper airport security protocol.
This comes a few days after he was accused of unruly conduct at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
KWAM 1 in a trending video tried to block a ValueJet aircraft from taking off.
He was later slammed with a six-month flight ban.
However, Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, in a statement on Wednesday, said owing to his public apology, KWAM 1 had been pardoned and the ban reduced to one month.
According to Keyamo, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, will now work "with the music star with a view to engaging him as an ambassador for proper airport security protocol going forward".
In the statement, the Minister revealed that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA had resolved to reduce the musician's flight ban from six to one month.
Similarly, the Minister announced that the criminal charges against Comfort Emmanson, involved in a row with Ibom Air crew, would be withdrawn.
