Two operatives of the Mobile Police Force, MOPOL, have been killed by bandits.
It was gathered that they were murdered by armed bandits in an attack on Tsafe town, Zamfara State.
The incident occurred late Sunday night when the assailants stormed the outskirts of Tsafe along the Yankuzo road.
Security sources said the operatives, who were on duty in the area, came under heavy gunfire from the bandits and were killed on the spot.
The attackers were said to have fled into the surrounding forest after the operation, while security reinforcements were later deployed to the area.
