VIDEO: Lady breaks silence after paying N450,000 damages 'for not visiting boyfriend’

By

The lady, who was ordered by a court to pay N450,000 damages to a man for collecting transport money and failing to show up, has broken her silence.

A video went viral days ago showing the lady in court.

She was dragged to court by one Emmanuel who accused her of collecting the sum of N50,000 to pay him a visit but failed to show up.

He then accused the lady of criminal breach of trust.

However, in a video, which she released on Wednesday, the lady provided details of her discussions with Emmanuel.

According to her, she resides in Asaba, whereas Emmanuel resides in Abuja.

The lady disclosed that Emmanuel is a friend she met on Facebook, adding that, 'I don't really know him."

She claimed that, "Before Emmanuel sent that money to me for transportation, I told him he should come over to my city. He said no, that he cannot visit a woman.

“Out of the blue, this guy just sent me N50,000, saying it was transport fare to come and see him. Where will N50,000 take me from Asaba to Abuja?"

The lady revealed that after she didn’t travel, Emmanuel and his friends allegedly began threatening her over the money. She claimed she later offered to refund it, but Emmanuel refused and instead got angry.

"What if I had gone there and something happened to me? You people would still blame me. Women don’t insist on staying in one place, you people will still talk. What do you really want?" She asked in frustration.

She went on to disclose that she eventually refunded him N450,000 as ordered by the court.

The lady vowed to go after the person that filmed the court proceedings.

According to her, the court had warned that nobody should record her, but someone, who she said she identified, went ahead to record and post her.
