The management of Dangote Group has reacted to the passing on of Ruth Otabor, sister to ex-BBNaija star, Phyna.

NATIONAL POST reported that Ruth died on Sunday after battling with injuries she sustained in an accident involving Dangote trailer.

She was hospitalised for over two weeks, during which her legs were amputated.

Ruth finally succumbed on Sunday, attracting outrage across the country.

Reacting, Dangote Group extended condolences to the victim's family.

In a statement, it said arrangements were already being made to fly Ruth to India before she died.

According to the Dangote Group, "Since the accident, our officials and insurance partners have been by her side, covering all financial and medical costs and supporting her family. Arrangements had been made for her to be flown to India for advanced treatment, pending medical clearance from her doctors. Sadly, despite these efforts and Ruth's brave fight to live, we lost her today.

"At Dangote Group, safety, accountability, and compassion remain at the core of our operations. We remain committed to strengthening our safety systems and supporting those affected in moments of tragedy. May God grant her mercy and eternal rest."

Meanwhile, activist, VeryDarkMan, who has been leading the campaign while Ruth battled for survival, has also reacted to her death.

He expressed anger that many Nigerians did not take Ruth's case seriously until she passed on.
