JAMB UTME 2025: Candidate who earlier scored 170 gets 301 in resit

By

Education technology expert and the Chief Executive Officer of Educare, Alex Onyia has described the results of the resit examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, as the best since 2017.

NATIONAL POST recalls that Onyia led the campaign that made JAMB admit to a technical glitch in the initial examination it conducted.

A resit examination was then conducted for the affected candidates and the results released today, Sunday.

While appraising the outcome of the resit, Onyia said a candidate, Nwaroh Chidindu Emmanuel, earlier graded 170 got 301 in the resit.

He wrote, "This is the first JAMB resit result I woke up with. This youngster was wrongly graded 170 due to the error and now 301 in just 48 hours of preparation.

"Finally, our students have been vindicated.

"It is now clearly obvious that this is the best JAMB result since 2017, that’s since the last 9 years. From the worst result few weeks ago to the best few weeks later.

"I saw it, I knew it and I was right!"
