Real Madrid have confirmed that Xabi Alonso will be presented as their new head coach tomorrow, Monday.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano tweeted on Sunday:
"It had to be Xabi’s week, it will be Xabi’s week at Real Madrid.
"OFFICIAL: Real Madrid confirm Xabi Alonso as new head coach on contract valid until June 2028."
Real Madrid officially announced the appointment, confirming that the Spanish tactician signed a contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2028.
This has ended months of speculation for Alonso as he returns to the club he once served with distinction as a player.
The 42-year-old replaces Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to take over the Brazilian national team following the expiration of his contract with Madrid at the end of the 2024/25 season.
