A former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Yayough Aondoakaa has been murdered.
Aondoaka was an ex-chairman of the PDP in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State.
Reasons for his assassination remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.
Sources hinted that he was murdered on Friday at Wannune Market, throwing the community into fear and confusion.
The assailants, who rode into the market on motorbikes, asked about Aondoakaa’s whereabouts before shooting him dead at close range.
His wife was murdered during an earlier failed attempt to eliminate him.
The police are yet to issue any comment on the incident.
