Popular Nigerian musician, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has stirred fresh controversy over his marriage to Annie Macaulay.

The singer and Annie got married in May 2012, and they have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, he announced that they had separated.

While opening up on his experiences, he claimed that his marriage with Annie was full of struggles, including threats to his life.

2Face compared his experience while in the marriage with living in bondage.

The 'African Queen' crooner made the claims in a snippet of the upcoming episode of +234 Mzansi Podcast co-hosted by Nigerian comedians Nedu and Acapella, and South African media personality Kifilwe.

"This thing wey dem call ‘living in bondage’ is real. There were some people who were ready to kill me," he said while responding to a question about his failed marriage to Annie.

2Face is now married to Natasha Osawuru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

His mother earlier opposed the union.
