WAFCON 2024: I want to score goals - Oshoala

Ahead of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, Asisat Oshoala has hinted on her readiness to score goals.

Oshoala, who will be making her fifth WAFCON appearance in Morocco, expressed her desire to help the Super Falcons win the title.

The Super Falcons will open their campaign at the WAFCON 2024 finals against Tunisia in Casablanca on Sunday.

The tournament will start on Saturday with  hosts Morocco and Zambia doing battle in Rabat

The 30-year-old has won the competition thrice with the team in the past.

The Bay FC striker made just one appearance due to injury as the Super Falcons surrendered their crown to South Africa at the previous edition also hosted by Morocco.

Oshoala is back in the team after more than a year absence.

She declared her intention to help the Super Falcons reclaim the title time around.

Oshoala told NFF TV: “For me personally, I want to score goals, it's what I love to do.

“It's been a while I've played with the national team because there's so many things going on in my personal life. But wherever I'm here, on the pitch, and help my teammates gain the three points in each game we play.”

WAFCON 2024 finals will run from Saturday,  5 July to Saturday, 26 July.
