Ahead of the burial of former president, Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as a public holiday.
This was announced on Monday to honour the memory of the late former President, who is to be buried in Daura on Tuesday.
Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior made the announcement in a statement on Monday.
NATIONAL POST recalls that Buhari passed away on Sunday in a London hospital.
Although his burial was earlier scheduled to hold today, Monday, it was later postponed to tomorrow, Tuesday.
Vice President, Kashim Shettima is already in London, together with President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila to accompany Buhari’s remains home.
