A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Alwan Hassan, has accused Peter Obi of being the highest importer of alcohol into Nigeria.
He said the Northern region will not vote for such a person as president.
According to him, Nigerians will not also hand the country over to a former governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi, who, according to him, is being fed by his wife.
Hassan was reacting to a recent interview where the former Rivers Governor said his wife was a successful entrepreneur and insisted that Nigerians will vote a complete man into office and not men 'being taken care of by their wives.'
Speaking in an interview on Channels Television, the APC Chieftain said nothing would stop President Bola Tinubu from winning the 2027 presidential election.
"The president is not going to lose. He has never lost an election, as a senator, as a governor, and will never lose an election," he said.
Reminded that he was assuming the position of God in making such a statement, he said, "But I'm predicting. I can predict. With the facts on ground, he won't lose an election.
"Because, of course, he is going to win. Who else do you think would defeat Asiwaju in 2027?
“Peter Obi, who was on your program, saying he wants the North to support him and trust him at the same time in the same program, he is celebrating building breweries in Anambra State and being the biggest importer of alcohol?
"And he wants the North to vote for him. We will not vote for a president that will import alcohol in the North.
"Or is it those ones that are saying their wives are taking care of them? We cannot hand over this country to such people, to men that are being fed by their wives.
"You know that somebody was here and said his wife is an entrepreneur and she's...we want a man that is a man of his house. “We want a man that is in charge of his house. We don't want a man that a woman is feeding.
"We will not, no, no, we will not hand over a country to a man that is being fed by his wife. A man that is being fed by his wife. That's what I'm saying.
"Let's not dwell on that. Let me tell you that even in education and health, the President has done a lot. Are we not talking about the NELfund, almost 400,000 university students collecting loans, celebrating on TV.
"Have we spoken about the Cancer Center in the health ministry that is being built by the Ministry of Health by this President. Six centers in the six year political zones, one in Katsina.
"Can't you celebrate the good things or the good development that this government has brought?
“Over 400,000 students now have taken NELfund loan, and they are paying school fees.
"In fact, let me tell you, there is something I heard, and I stand to be corrected, that people that are in the 400 level, 500 levels in the university can apply for tuition they had paid when they started, and NELFUND will reimburse them.
"Have we ever had that in the history of Nigeria?” He queried.
