A man, whose identify is yet to be revealed, has been paraded round a community in Anambra State after he reportedly killed a python.
In a video currently trending on Facebook, the man could be seen with the dead python hung round his neck.
From the narration in the video, the incident is believed to have occurred in Nkpor.
A voice in the video could be heard saying: ‘you went and killed Eke Mmiri Nkpor; he killed Eke Idemimi to eat it and he was caught.
“See the pepper and the crayfish he wanted to use to eat Eke Idemili.
“He killed Eke Nkpor; he caught off the head; he committed abomination.
“You came to people’ community and killed Eke, don’t you know that we don’t eat eke?”
The same voice interrogated the man on the whereabouts of his wife and children, but he kept mute.
NATIONAL POST learnt that the python is considered sacred in the area, and is therefore not to be killed.
