Political stakeholders from Amurri community in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State have declared their unalloyed support for Governor Peter Mbah.
The stakeholders passed a vote of confidence in Governor Mbah during a meeting held in the community recently, conveyed by Dr Ben Nwoye, a political leader from Amurri.
A communique issued after the meeting was signed by Hon. Victor Okechukwu, Amankanu Amurri Autonomous Community, Hon. Obinna Chukwu, Umuigbo Amurri Autonomous Community, Hon. Micky Nwankwo, Eziokwe Amurri Autonomous Community and Hon. Smart Onwe, Amurri Ancient Kingdom (Enuagu).
The political leaders said the projects initiated by the Governor Mbah administration in the community, as well as appointments, were enough to speak for him (Mbah) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to them, the governor need not come for campaign in 2027, except for formality.
The communique reads: “That Amurri political leaders appreciate the transformational leadership of His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the executive governor of Enugu State.
“Under his leadership, Amurri as well as other communities in Enugu have benefited in infrastructural development programs of PNM, i.e- Smart Green School, Type.2 health center, Smart farm estates which are almost in their completion stages.
“Under this present administration of Gov. Peter Mbah, our own son, Professor Umezuluike Okafor was appointed as chief medical director CMD.
“We also commend His Excellency Gov Peter Mbah for also coming to our rescue by awarding the construction of OBE/AMURRI road, which the mobilization to site is said to commence in October 2025 and soil testing is ongoing already.
“We Amurri political Stakeholders, consisting of members of all political parties that are functioning in Amurri (ADC, APGA, APC, SDP, LP & PDP) with our convener, Dr. Ben Nwoye (Udede Okwanka of Amurri Ancient Kingdom) hereby passed a vote of confidence on H.E Gov. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, we supported him massively during the 2023 gubernatorial election and we shall repeat such by 2027 general election.
“Amurri political stakeholders have collectively resolved that Gov. Peter Mbah coming to Amurri to campaign 2027 gubernatorial election will only be for formality purposes, because his good governance/administration have already endeared him to us (Amurrians).”
