Gov Fubara dissolves board with immediate effect

By

In what could be considered a major action since he returned to power, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has dissolved the State Pensions Board.

The dissolution is with immediate effect.

The State Head of Service, Mrs Inyingi Brown, made this announcement on Friday in Port Harcourt.

According to the governor, the office of the State Accountant General will handle the functions of the Board until a new board is constituted.

Governor Fubara was on September 18 reinstated by President Bola Tinubu at the expiration of the six-month state of emergency imposed on the state.
