Days after ex-BBNaija star, Phyna’s sister, Ruth, died from injuries sustained from Dangote trailer accident, entire members of a family have been crushed by a truck carrying cement.
Apart from the family, several others were also said to have died in the accident.
NATIONAL POST learnt that the truck hit three vehicles.
Some of the survivors are said to be receiving treatment at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla.
The incident, which occurred at Four Corner Junction in Enugu State, is currently trending on social media, with many people bemoaning the huge loss.
A video currently in circulation shows a vehicle totally crushed by a trailer.
A family were said to have been in the vehicle, with eyewitnesses disclosing that none of them came out alive.
Details of the incident are still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
NATIONAL POST reports that after Ruth died, Dangote management said they were already making plans to fly her abroad for treatment.
Activist, VeryDarkMan has been leading the campaign to ensure that unlicensed Dangote drivers keep off the highway.
This came after it was claimed that the driver whose vehicle knocked Ruth down, had no driver’s license.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the police nor the Dangote management has reacted to the incident.
Although the truck was carrying cement, it has not been established whether it belongs to Dangote Group.
However, it had Dangote brand stickers pasted around.
