Nigeria police arrest prophetess for allegedly selling baby for N2m

An Abia State-based prophetess, Ugochi Nwoke has been arrested by the police over her alleged involvement in the selling of a baby for the sum of N2 million. 

She was nabbed by officers from Obehie Police Divisional Headquarters on Nwoke, who is the owner of Glorious Ministry, is also alleged to be a quack nurse. 

Abia Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa disclosed that the suspect was arrested alongside Joy Ejike  and Ngozi Ejike for child trafficking.

According to him, "Ugochi Nwoke and Joy Ejike confessed to selling a baby to a woman for two million naira.

“Ugochi Nwoke who is a prophetess and owner of the ministry has been into the business for long."

He listed the items recovered at the scene to include one Iron drip infusion stand with a drip bag, one mattress and one big speaker, saying that investigation is ongoing to arrest the buyer and possibly recover the baby.
