Otti heightens APC defection rumour after visiting Mbah

By

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State on Saturday visited his Enugu counterpart, Governor Peter Mbah.

The visit, which came ahead of Mbah's defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC, has heightened speculation that Otti could also be on his way to the APC.

His visit was announced by the Enugu governor on his social media page.

He wrote, "I was delighted to receive my brother, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, here in Enugu.

"We had a warm and fruitful exchange, sharing ideas, comparing notes, and reinforcing our common commitment to delivering good governance and sustainable development to our people.

"Thank you, my brother, for this visit and for the bond of collaboration we continue to strengthen between Enugu and Abia States, as we build a future of shared prosperity for our people."

Meanwhile, Mbah will be leading Peoples Democratic Party members in Enugu State into APC next Tuesday.

Governor Otti is the only governor on the platform of the Labour Party, and he has always maintained that President Bola Tinubu is his friend.

Although Labour Party is ridden with crisis, Otti has consistently stated that he would not join the opposition coalition which adopted African Democratic Congress, ADC.

His visit to Mbah is now being interpreted that he could also be preparing to join the umbrella party.
