Ahead of Governor Peter Mbah’s formal defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC, tomorrow, Tuesday, all his cabinet members have joined the national ruling party.
They all dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the weekend and publicly joined the APC on Monday after a meeting at the Government House, Enugu.
This was confirmed in a video posted by Hon Dan Nwomeh, a Senior Media Aide to Governor Mbah.
He wrote on his social media page:
“Enugu State Cabinet Members join the APC with full chest along with Governor PN Mbah - from left to right, Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, the Prince of Mburumbu, Dr. Lawrence Ezeh; Chairman of the Science, Technical, and Vocational Schools Management Board, Dr. Amaka S. Ngene; and Commissioner for Labour and Employment, Dr. Felix Nnamani.”
The state officials could be heard in the video praising President Bola Tinubu and chorusing 'We are now in APC, Tomorrow is here; it is APC all the way; it is Jababan all the way; from top to bottom'.
Apart from commissioners, all other aides of the governor have also declared for the APC.
Ward chairmen confirmed receiving loads of resignation letters over the weekend.
As reported earlier by NATIONAL POST, the APC has dissolved all the local government and ward executives in the state.
It was gathered that the dissolution is to accommodate some of the PDP members that have crossed over to the party.
