NLO bans 44 players from 2025 season
The Nationwide League One (NLO), has banned 44 players from participating in the 2025 season. The NLO made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday after the players were confirmed ineligible by the league's medical team. It said, "Following the comprehensive medical examination conducted across all states by the appointed NLO Medical Team, it has been confirmed that the affected players are ineligible to participate in the upcoming league season. "This decision is based strictly on medical grounds as outlined in the official report submitted by the NLO doctors. "The health and safety of every player remain a top priority for the Nationwide League One (NLO), and we fully support the league’s commitment to ensuring only medically fit players are cleared for competition." The league body urged the affected clubs to make adjustments to their squad following the development. "We advise all concerned clubs to take this matter seriously and make the necessary adjustments to their squad lists in line with the league’s medical compliance requirements," NLO advised.
